Few months ago, Justsescils shared one of her compositions in a video, sweet and folk, as she has a knack for.
I found the melody and the vocals to be very beautiful, so I asked her if I could make a remix and if she could send me just the vocals.
Quickly, I received the files and started cutting and replaying the vocals.
A few weeks later, the remix is (almost) finished.
Using only the vocals as a starting point, the universe and the ambiance are very different from the original song, which is, in fact, unrecognizable.

So, we decided together that it wouldn't be a remix but more of a featuring.
The first and maybe not the last?
Here we are in November 2023, and here's "Mirrors" in a version with or without vocals.
An ambiance and "English" sounds somewhat different from what I'm used to doing, but if you know me, you know I have trouble sticking to one path...

Il y a quelques mois, Justsescils partage une de ses compositions en vidéo, douce et folk, comme elle en a le secret.
Je trouve la mélodie et la voix très belles, je lui demande si je peux en faire un remix et si elle peut m'envoyer juste les voix.
Rapidement je reçois les fichiers et je commence à les découper, rejouer les voix.
Quelques semaines plus tard, le remix est (quasiment) terminé.
En utilisant uniquement la voix comme base de départ, l'univers et l'ambiance sont très éloignés du titre initial qui est d'ailleurs méconnaissable.

On décide donc ensemble que ce ne sera pas un remix mais plutôt un featuring.
Le premier et peut-être pas le dernier ?
Nous voilà en novembre 2023 et voici don "Mirrors" en version avec ou sans voix.
Une ambiance et des sonorités "anglaises" un peu différentes de ce que j'ai l'habitude de faire mais si vous me connaissez vous savez que j'ai du mal à rester sur un sentier...
